One of the world’s largest healthcare group of companies is currently recruiting TRAINEE MEDICAL REPRESENTATIVE as part of an aggressive expansion program in Nigeria. THE ROLE
As a new TRAINEE MEDICAL REPRESENTATIVE, you would join an exciting and highly motivated start-up team, reporting to a Territory Manager.
The position is field based and you will need to live within the territory boundary.
Over 6 month period, you will undergo training and development under the supervision of the Territory Manager that will equip you to assume full responsibility for a geographical market. You will be expected to add value from the start with, with increasing responsibility for developing and managing accounts allocated to you. As a Medical Representative, you will be responsible for promoting a strong portfolio of products, including sutures, skin adhesives, tissue reinforcement solutions, orthopaedic implants, haemostats, endoscopic instrumentation, surgical stapling technology and other devices designed to reset the standard of care for parents.
Working closely with the Territory Manager, you will be in a position to deliver outstanding value to our clinical and non-clinical customers and in turn transform patient care in Nigeria. Your ability to effectively plan and implement clinical added value services ego local & international professional education, clinical presentations and physician proctoring; deliver exceptional technical and service support to physicians inside and outside the operating theatre; and engage key opinion leaders in the specific areas of surgery will be critical to driving the adoption of new surgical procedures and the use of our products.
THE PERSON
The successful candidate will be confident, self-driven, highly competitive yet customer centric. A practical ability to demonstrate is required, as is suitability for spending a significant amount of your time in the operating theatre environment.
Successful candidates will also have a strong affinity for working closely with others in a team will show entrepreneurial behavior. An ability to build strategic partnerships with key customers is essential and in addition, experience working within a sales role or a clinical background is preferred.
A degree in business on science discipline is essential as is the capacity for sheer hard work, dedication and self-belief. You will be required to demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills. You must also demonstrate excellent PC skills and have a superior working knowledge of MS Office packages.
You will also hold a valid driving license and a valid passport.
