NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATION OPENS VACCANCY POSITIONS

A leading indigenous non-governmental organization that promotes better healthcare for all Nigerians is currently taking over funding and programmatic implementation responsibility from an established and reputable international agency. In partnership with the government of Nigeria the NGO provides a range of technical and financial assistance at the national, state, and site levels for the scale-up of comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment services, including provision of antiretroviral therapy (ART). The broadened scope of the objectives of the NGO has created the need for increased staff capacity around new and enlarged areas of focus. We therefore require the services of resourceful, experienced and dynamic candidates for the following positions;


EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (Abuja)
• The Executive Director provides leadership, strategic/technical oversight and management to a multi• disciplinary team working to carry out a diverse range of health interventions to improve the general health and well-being of men, women and youth in Nigeria.
• S/He will lead in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a variety of research, service delivery and capacity building projects, including HIV prevention and care strategies focusing on vulnerable persons and the general population
• Working with partners the appointee will lead and direct the team to develop and manage high quality cost effective health programs which will achieve the expected outcomes and impact on the organizational strategic plan and contribute to national development goals.
• S/He oversees operations and ensures strong collaboration with Government, donors, partners and other stakeholders.

Qualification
• Interested candidates must have an MBBS and Master's degree or its equivalent with a minimum of eight years of technical and program development experience in managing, developing and implementing RH and HIV / AIDS research and/or service delivery interventions for internationally funded health programs.
• The ideal candidate must possess a clinical under-standing of HIV/AIDS care and treatment including grants management experience, leadership and team building.
• Strong collaborative management and staff development skills are also essential in order to effectively manage and supervise a diverse range of technical staff.


DIRECTOR OF MANAGEMENT SUPPORT (Abuja)
• The Director of Management Support Services will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the financial, administrative, and IT functions of the organization.
• The position will provide leadership and supervision for financial reporting both internally and to donors/funders; staff supervision, capacity building, grant & budget management and relationship management.
• H/She will lead software initiatives to improve organizational reporting and will be responsible for implementation and execution of internal control environment to ensure protection and accounting for all project assets.
• The position also oversees the recruitment, hiring management and training of human resources team, including staff, consultants, contractors, vendors, and volunteers.
• This is a collaborative role that will work cross-functionally with human resources, administration, finance, payroll, and IT to understand issues and then translate them to create real solutions that address current and future needs.

Qualification
• Interested candidates must possess a minimum of ACA/ ACCA/CPA or other globally recognized professional accounting qualification with eight years post-qualification experience. MBA will be an added advantage.
• The ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience and success managing and leading technical and administrative teams in the implementation of large, multi-country, development and health programs in developing country settings.


GRANTS MANAGER (Abuja)
• The Grants Manager acts as the principal negotiator for all the organizations' contracts, grants, and agreements both programmatically ft institutionally.
• He/she has responsibility for effective management and leadership of key contracts including aspects of department operations including stall supervision; professional development; strategic planning; procedure development, implementation, interpretation, communication and oversight of compliance issues.
• The ideal candidate will review and seek out potential grant opportunities and develop grant narratives in partnership with the Executive director.

Qualification
• Interested candidates must have a minimum of a Master's degree desired in addition to five years of progressive management and supervisory experience managing grants and cooperative agreements.
• S/he must have a proven track record in grant writing including but not limited to local and state government grants, federal funding requests, capacity building proposals and funding requests to private and public foundations.
• Previous experience in a similar donor-funding organization will be an added advantage.


COMPLIANCE OFFICER (Abuja)
• The Compliance Officer is responsible for the implementation of financial systems, legal and donor related compliances of the organization.
• The main function of this position is to promote a culture of knowledge of specific donor rules and regulations and ensure compliance with those rules and regulations throughout the organization.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing the organization's standard finance manual, policies and procedures and ensuring that they are in line with the rules and regulations of institutional donors, advising updates where required.

Qualification
• Interested candidates must have a minimum of a University degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or related fields.
• Additional qualifications such as CPA, ACA, ICAN or recognized equivalent certification will be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and with communication skills is essential in addition to prior experience with and a keen


ACCOUNTANT (Abuja)
• Under the direction of the Finance Manager, the Accountant shall assume responsibility for accounting in the office and ensure compliance with the contractual financial requirements of the project.
• The incumbent assists the Finance Manager to ensure the accurate keeping of all books of account for the project, including checking account, equipment and supply registers and all accounting records.

Qualification
• Interested candidates must have a minimum of a University degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent. CPA, ACA, ICAN or recognized equivalent will be an advantage.
• The ideal candidate will possesses a minimum of 3-5 years experience in accounting related to NGOs and community level programs, with increasing responsibility.


IT ASSISTANT (Abuja)
• The Information Technology Assistant performs installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance on staff computers in addition to system upgrades as necessary for software and hardware related components as needed.
• The position establishes network users, user environments, directories and security for networks being installed and maintains current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources.
• The ideal candidate provides these services in an effective and efficient manner and will ensure maximum access to and implementation of technology services and resources..

Qualification
• Interested candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent work experience in information technology.
• The position requires thorough knowledge of advanced concepts and basic operating principles of data communications and information systems hardware and software; computer monitoring systems, vendor supplied packaged programs, macros, utilities, and other highly technical programs.
• The ability to use programming procedures and techniques in the implementation of computer programs is essential. Possession of the relevant IT certification will be an advantage.


General Requirements
• All positions require candidates that are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of computer applications and Internet/ Emails.
• Significant amounts of travel are required for all positions


Terms of Employment
The organization offers highly competitive salary packages for all positions in the organization. However, appointments for each of these positions will be subjected to a probationary period. Local terms and conditions are applicable.
